How Owasso VFW Post 7180 is serving veterans and the community.
 
November 2020  Post 7180 sponsored and help bring the "Remembering Our Fallen" memorial to the Owasso High School.  Unfortunately due to the last minute rescheduling of this event and Covid-19 turnout was at a minimum.
 
In March 2020 Post 7180 donated $200.00 to the Owasso Golden Agers Foundation to help provide transportation of senior citizens to outings such as movies, lunches, and visits to local museums.
 
Also in March 2020 Post 7180 donated $1000.00 to a veteran who had been laid off from his job.  This donate was use for unforeseen medical bills.
 
February 2020 we held a fundraising breakfast to benefit Owasso Community Resources, as a result we donated $1130.00 to OCR
 
February 2019 Post 7180 donated $1000.00 to the spouse of a deceased veteran to assist with utility payments.
 
January 2019 Post 7180 donated $1000.00 toward repairs of a disabled veterans HVAC system.
 
$700.00 was raised and donated to the Blue Star Mothers of Rogers county to support their efforts in supporting deployed local service members.
 
Each year Post 7180 sponsors the VFW Voice of Democracy Program, a scholarship program open to all 9-12 grade high school students.  Each year $350.00 in prize money is awarded.
 
Post 7180 has donated over $12,000.00 dollars toward building the Owasso Veterans Memorial.
